Since 2003, The Village Players have staged both dramatic and comedic shows
that have tested the actor’s endurance. “Robin Hoodwink” (written and directed
by Paul Johnson), “Treasure Island” (written by Jim Spernick, directed by Jules
Aitken), “Women With Wings” (another play written and directed by Paul Johnson
depicting the lives of the WRAAF who served at the Air Base in Evans Head during
WW11), “Flying Feathers” (directed by John Clayton), “Summer of the
Seventeenth Doll” (written by Ray Lawler, directed by Paul Johnson and
Su Dorland), “Steaming” (written by Nell Dunn, directed by Maureen Follers),
and “Relatively Speaking” (written by Alan Ayckbourn, directed by Su Dorland
and Jacky Hopgood).
