The Side Project Canberra

The Side Project is a dinner party of sorts, held upstairs at Lonsdale St Roasters #7.

Created by Dave Young, currently Head Chef at Temporada and former Head Chef at Aubergine, we're trying to do something a little bit different in Canberra. We're less about bells and whistles and more about good produce cooked well, served with quality drops.

We like to think of it as how to have a restaurant without actually having a restaurant. We offer 4 courses with matching wines for $100 per person. The menu and wine pairings change for each dinner, depending on season and whim.


The Side Project is held the first Sunday of every month. Bookings can only be made via email: sideproject.cbr@gmail.com. The dinners are for 30 guests, and seats are first come first served. All tables are communal - get to know the strangers next to you!

Doors open at 6pm sharp. It's a school night so please be on time.

The Side Project is CASH ONLY. An ATM can be found across the road at the Civic Pub.

Dietary requirements/Allergies:

Since we only serve one menu for the entire room, we're unable to make drastic changes to the menu. If you don't like coriander, you'll just have to pick it out. However, if you have a serious and actual food allergy please let us know when you book. We'll do our best to take care of you.
