David Tutalo commenced his Hairdressing Apprenticeship in 1988 under his Father Tony at Tony’s Hairdressing Salon in Queanbeyan. Both David’s Father and Grandfather, Michele, were Barbers making David a third generation Traditional Barber. During his early years in hairdressing, David excelled, winning many awards in Hair Competitions. For 25 years he worked at Tony’s with his twin brother, carrying on his father’s legacy after his retirement, specialising specifically in the styling of Mens hair.

David has a strong reputation for providing quick and precise hair styling services, many of his clients have been returning to him since the late 80’s! During 2012 David ran the business solely and realised his potential as a business owner. Following the upgrade of the Crawford St precinct, David thought he would take advantage of the attractive new location and open ‘The Royal Barber Shop’ next to the recently refurbished Royal Hotel, While it was a daunting task fitting out the new premises, David is very pleased to be able to provide new and old clients with a fresh and exciting new location to have their hair styled.
