Find the Fringe at The Queens – the oldest theatre on mainland Australia. Rediscover what the Fringe is really about – independent, daring, unique, fun and exhilarating - and see amazing performances in a comfortable and beautifully designed theatre hub.
South Australian Producers Joanne Hartstone and Vince Fusco, have invigorated SA’s favourite historical performing arts space and, inspired by Lewis Carroll’s ‘Through The Looking Glass’, have designed two theatres within the heritage-listed building – ‘The Red Queen’ and ‘The White Queen’ – with the support of White Marquee. They have partnered with Street ADL to run the Queens’ pop-up bar: ‘The 8th Square’.
The Queens has a uniquely curated season with something for everyone - Comedy, Circus, Theatre, Music, Cabaret and Youth Productions (from the UK, USA, NSW, VIC and SA) - by acclaimed artists and companies: The Flanagan Collective, Waxing Lyrical, Seabright Productions, Delia Olam, Never Never Theatre Co., Gobsmacked Theatre Company, Nikolas Strubbe, Alexandra Petkova, Zuleika Kahn and ActorsInk.
There is easy (and cheap!) parking on Playhouse Lane (off Light Square). We are also accessible via public transport and the Free Fringe Bus.
Please support the future of SA Artists and Entrepreneurs.
