The Manly Fig

The Fig is a volunteer-run live music venue that is usually held on the last Friday of the month at Balgowlah Bowlo (and at the air-conditioned Balgowlah RSL during summer). We started in 2009 to help the flagging Sydney live music scene and were so successful from the start that we kept a very low public profile to avoid having to turn away people on show nights. We lost some local regulars though when we lost our Manly venue in 2015 and moved to Balgowlah Heights. Since then we've been letting people know who we are, aiming to start getting full houses again for every show.

At the bowlo you can BYO wine/food, or buy drinks from the bar and food from the Mexican stand. Tickets cost $20 and are available at the door though booking is recommended.
