More about The Learning Tree Corio

Welcome to the Learning Tree Corio!
We are a small, family focused centre that facilitates learning opportunities to develop your child’s independence and learning. Our qualified Educators support and drive your child to perform new tasks and assume new responsibilities. In turn, their independence grows and flourishes.

About The Learning Tree Corio:
We provide hot fresh lunches daily, as well as a healthy, nutritious breakfast and snacks throughout the day by our qualified cook. We have a rotating menu, so children are offered many different, delicious meals throughout each season.

We have four rooms available, including a four-year-old Government funded Kindergarten which is run by our Bachelor Qualified Kindergarten teacher. Our rooms are run by qualified educators who implement age and developmentally appropriate activities to engage children to learn new tasks, as well as gain independence for later life.

We are implementing a sustainability program which teaches the children about caring for our environment. We are doing this by growing our own vegetables in our gardens which the children help to maintain. The vegetables are then used in our meals, or are offered to families to take home. We are also encouraging the children to use our recycling bins, as well as ensuring we do not waste water during hand-washing etc.
About Affinity Education Group:
The Learning Tree Corio is owned by Affinity Education Group. Affinity Education Group recognise the significance of quality teaching to support the complete intellectual and emotional development of each child through applying specifically designed programs to cultivate children’s emotional and social intelligence combined with a literacy based curriculum. Children learn through play therefore by evoking their curiosity, they invent and direct the focus of self-initiated, age appropriate play and learn through open-ended activities.

Nurturing a sense of wonder and uplifting the spirit of human imagination are focal points of our curriculum. We endeavour to present learning environments which are enchanting and inviting for each and their family. To develop indoor learning environments that are rich in creativity, arts and inspiration. We offer an extensive range of resources to support the continued growth and development of each child.

Our educators awake a child’s motivation from within to engage their unique personal development. Our ultimate goal is for all children to develop a compassionate, responsible and peaceful approach to solving life problems by offering deepening experiences of genuine significance.
Our Curriculum: We will be shortly implementing the use of “Story Park” for planning our program. Story Park is an online program which links families with educators. This way when educators post something on Story Park, only families who have been added to the child’s account will see the information. Parents will also be able to access current information such upcoming events, daily activities, newsletters as well as their personal statements.
