The Gold Coast Boast Club was established in 1966 and is a not-for-profit, community organisation. The Club’s base is ‘The Anchorage’ on South Stradbroke Island which is predominantly used for the Club to host marine related educational and recreational events.
Members are also able to utilise the facility for camping, nature and marine based activities on the understanding that members’ use of facilities complies with the Constitution, code of conduct, general rules and relevant permits (i.e camping permit) held by the Club for the facility. A copy of these documents is available from the secretary (goldcoastboatclub@yahoo.com.au)
The Club proudly promotes a family orientated environment and behaviour perceived as being unruly, illegal or offensive to other members is not tolerated. In this regard, the Club’s constitution provides for cancellation of membership for breach of the Club rules and by-laws, should this be required.
Membership to the Club is by way of application and tabling process that requires the support / recommendation of at least one current member. The Club is always seeking new members and anyone interested in joining can call the Secretary on 0416 125 408 or email on goldcoastboatclub@yahoo.com.au for more information.
