The Cowyard - Metung Accommodation

The Cowyard is a unique family style Cottage situated on the shores of Bancroft Bay, opposite the town of Metung, the perfect setting for a memorable family holiday any time of the year.

The Cowyard offers a fully self-contained, private holiday lifestyle with a double bedroom, one twin room and (for the kids) 3 beds in the loft.
A rustic pine-lined Kitchen/Dining room is part of the accommodation with a slow combustion wood heater for extra warmth when required. A sunny, living room contains a remote DTV & DVD and a gas heater. A hand-made mud-brick feature wall enhances the natural atmosphere.

The Cowyard is nestled in magnificent treed surroundings. Within its secluded garden can be found both wood and gas-fired BBQs with fuel supplied, outdoor furniture and delightful views of the lake and rural farmland.

You will find many varieties of birdlife visiting the yard's bird feeder and bird bath and fruit trees. When it's time to relax, stroll down to our Jetty to fish or swim, a play on the beach where the children can enjoy Metung's famous little stone village and watch the glorious sunsets across the lake.
