For me personally I experience absolute joy when discovering fine objects. I observe and admire the creativity, craftsmanship, and their spirit shine through. I realize that these things will never be made in the same way again. Each trip that I make to a collectables fair,op shop or garage sale is filled with excitement and emotion at the prospect of discovering that hidden treasure.

One of the benefits of collecting is that you become very curious about these objects. Where was it made ? When ? By whom? You begin to reference books on the subject, use the internet as a tool to locate as much information as possible on the item but nothing is more important that the items itself.

Whether it is an Ellis Ram or a rare Signed Picasso Lithograph, is something that you should buy because you will enjoy living with it from day to day.

It is important to remember that while it is a privilege to own all these special things, it is also a responsibility to respect, preserve, and treasure the old.
