Alyson has worked across a range of health settings spanning two decades of supporting people with all abilities, terminal illness, addiction, relationship conflict, family violence and grief and loss.

Alyson’s aim is to introduce new possibilities for re-experiencing emotions as signposts to meaningful self-understanding, compassion and growth, rather than problems to be solved. Like water, emotions can be considered as constantly moving. Sometimes calm, stormy, unpredictable, flowing, and sometimes hot or cold.

She believes that by acknowledging and accepting all emotions as meaningful, we can learn to ‘dance with our feet in the water’, creating a pathway to living our lives in ways that matter to us, for the benefit of ourselves and others.

Alyson's mission is to offer a space for people to acknowledge and celebrate the full spectrum of human emotions as meaningful aspects of life.

Alyson draws from philosophy, existentialism, music and art for health and wellbeing.

We offer individual counseling as well as group programs and Rhythm events for community building and corporate connections.

Some of the group programs and workshops we offer include:

• Existential Therapy groups - therapeutic conversations that constellate around various elements of what it means to be human. Themes discussed my include,life and death, meaning and meaninglessness, connection and isolation, freedom and responsibility.

• Dream groups - learn how to integrate the wisdom of your dreams into your waking life.

• Story-Dolls - Bring inspiration, intention and purpose to life by joining with others on a creative journey to become who you already are.

• DrumFunPlayJam - community rhythm events for creating connection, having fun and improving overall health through spontaneous in-the-moment music making.

• Rhythm 4 wellness - Semi-structured rhythm sessions that focus on specific themes: communication, working together, self-care, emotional vitality, trust and more....

• DRUMBEAT | Developing Relationships Using Music | Beliefs Emotions Attitudes Thoughts - A 10 week program that focuses on a range of themes that contribute to social cohesion.

Sessions are generally 60 minutes however longer sessions can be accommodated as the need arises. A 60 minute sessions is $90.
