The Business Marketplace

The Business Marketplace was created 4 years ago to bring together a community of business owners to meet-buy-sell-connect with other like minded entrepreneurs. What started out as a simple Expo at The Melbourne Showgrounds, soon turned into a twice yearly event, and again progressed to a monthly meeting, to meet the needs of the members who wanted to connect on a more regular basis.

In 2016 we continue to meet monthly (at our new location in Barkly Street, St Kilda) and our meetings and community continue to grow month on month. We now attract between 80-100 people each month.

The future of the TBM Community is constantly being revised and planned to cater for the growing number of members. The new venue is part of this growth plan.

Membership is open to business owners who would like to take part in 12 community days and 2 Summit days per year.

The newly renamed The Business Marketplace Summit, will take place on Wednesday October 12, at The Melbourne Showgrounds. Titled "The Be BANC-able Summit" the new structure will feature a day of 2 keynote speakers, and four interactive workshops, as well as an interactive exhibition of businesses. Tickets start at $97 for a full day of education and business immersion. This is a day your do not want to miss.

Posting on The Business Marketplace must be done in accordance with our standards, which are set out here.

We encourage freedom of speech in a lawful, honest and respectful manner. We are here to support each other, not to cause any harm.

We strongly discourage disrespectful comments, including negative comments in recommendation posts. We would suggest offering positive recommendations, but refraining from negative comments on the public forum. If you have a concern about a business, or wish to warn someone about a negative experience, please send the person requesting recommendations a personal message instead.

We will not tolerate you using The Business Marketplace to:

- post false information;

- violate the legal rights (including intellectual property rights) of any person;

- do anything unlawful, misleading, defamatory, malicious, or discriminatory;

- bully, intimidate, ridicule, harass, incite violence or hatred, or threaten any person or group of people;

- post private or sensitive information about any person on The Business Marketplace without their consent;

- upload viruses or malicious code;

- do anything that may disable or affect the proper appearance or working of The Business Marketplace ; or

- help or encourage anyone else to infringe these standards.

These standards are designed to protect our Group and help make The Business Marketplace a positive forum. If we believe that you are infringing these standards, we may remove any content or information you put on The Business Marketplace. We may also block you from the page.

Conduct which infringes these standards could cause us legal problems, and may result in loss and damage to the operator of The Business Marketplace (namely, Breakthrough Armchair Negotiation Community Pty Ltd trading as Our BANC (ACN 156 369 309) or its related entities, officers, employees, representatives and agents (“we” or “us”). You hold us harmless against all loss and damage we suffer and all expenses we incur (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis) as a result of any act or omission on your part which breaches our standards.
