ABOUT NATURAL BALTIC AMBER

Natural Baltic Amber has a legendary reputation going back centuries and is known for soothing pain and its immune boosting and healing properties. It is commonly used to assist with the symptoms associated with teething in infants and toddlers, but also other ailments such as growing pains, eczema and even arthritis.

The ingredient in amber that makes it effective is amber acid (more formally succinic acid).
When one wears a Natural Baltic Amber jewellery item, it is warmed by body heat. That warming results in miniscule amounts of amber acid containing amber oil to be released and absorbed by the body. The amount transferred to the body depends on the amount of the amber in contact with the body and the amount of amber acid at the surface of the amber beads.

Of all the ambers, Natural Baltic Amber has the highest concentration of succinic acid. That is why when you are buying any amber products, you should be sure to buy Natural Baltic Amber.

CARE AND SAFETY

All jewellery should be removed whenever your child is sleeping or without supervision.

Please remove the necklace before swimming or bathing. Whilst the necklace will cope with getting wet, chlorine and other chemicals used in swimming pools and spas and the detergents in bath soaps and shampoos can have a detrimental effect on the threading.

Once the necklace is wet it is essential that the necklace be removed and completely dried before it is re-worn.

For the hygiene of your infant the jewellery must be removed and cleaned regularly. Using a soft cloth gently wipe clean each individual bead of Amber. The necklace can be rinsed in clean water and left to dry.

Safety is a priority when manufacturing each item of jewellery.

The Beaded Bub uses synthetic plastic clasps with a screw thread, which has been glued into the barrel of the clasp. The string in each of the baby amber teething necklace is knotted by hand in between each and every bead, so should the necklace break (which it should if necessary), the rest of the beads should not scatter.
