The Beach Retreat at Venus Bay

The Beach Retreat @ Venus Bay is a perfect place to escape, unwind and relax with family or friends. We offer a spacious, comfortable half house with a separate entrance and a fabulous private pool!
We love to share our large house with our guests. We live on the premises upstairs and are available to assist you with anything you require but are careful never to intrude. There are internal stairs, however we use external stairs to ensure the privacy of our guests. Our accommodation is let to only one group at a time.
Our guest accommodation has two bedrooms, living room, kitchenette/laundry, family bathroom with bath, separate toilet and a huge sheltered deck tucked behind a high wall. Guests are welcome to make use of all outside areas.
Luxuriate in your own sparkling pool or relax with a book or movie from our extensive library. Hide out in the tree house or join the littlies in the playground and sandpit. Pool and beach equipment, toys, books and games provide something for kids of all ages. There is also a TV, Play Station and DVD player. We love taking the children to collect eggs from our chickens and sharing our vegetable and herb gardens.
The Beach Retreat @ Venus Bay accommodates six in a Queen room and a bedroom with two sets of bunks. All linen including towels is provided. We also have a Eurobed that can be used in the living room to make accommodation arrangements more flexible.
Although not a full kitchen, guests have a kitchenette/laundry to make their stay cost effective and convenient. There are the usual kitchen items such as crockery and cutlery, saucepans, salad bowls and utensils along with a fridge, microwave and a range of appliances including:
• Nespresso machine
• electric convection oven with hotplates
• toaster and jug
• electric pizza oven
• electric wok
• sandwich press
• electric fry-pan
There is a gas BBQ with lid and side-burner, (we supply the gas) on a covered veranda just outside the door.
The Beach Retreat @ Venus Bay is a serene haven ideally located behind the dunes only a few minutes’ stroll from the surf and fishing at Beach 5 and from Cape Liptrap Coastal Park. The pure white beaches are wide and clean and best of all often largely deserted. You can find serenity in walking for hours or just reading a book away from crowds of beach-goers.
If activity is what you crave there is a patrolled surf beach, tennis courts, skateboarding park and many spectacular walks nearby as well as a fishing jetty and boat launching ramp. Venus Bay is particularly well suited to bike riding as it is mostly flat and there is a bike path running all the way from Venus Bay to nearby Tarwin Lower.
A short drive takes you to restaurants, shops and Beach 1 which is patrolled throughout the summer months. Farmer's Markets, gourmet food destinations and wineries are close by. Ideally situated for sightseeing we are half-way between the fairy penguins of Phillip Island and beautiful Wilson's Prom but without the crowds of either.
