The Beach Hotel

The Beach Hotel, Merewether is one of Newcastle and the Hunter Valley’s most popular pubs for so many reasons. To start with, there’s the view. Located on Scenic Drive right above Merewether Surf Club, The Beach Hotel overlooks the South Pacific Ocean and the waves of Merewether, Dixon Park and Bar Beaches, all the way up to Stryzlecki Lookout where hang gliders can be seen most weekends.

The Reef Bar is an intimate non-smoking bar, whilst the Beach Bar is a larger room that opens out onto the deck and faces the beach, with FOXTEL on the big screen and a stage that pumps with the hottest local live music acts five nights a week.

The Beach Hotel (in conjunction with Aqua Events) is also home to three fantastic function rooms with a view to savour.
