The Australian Conservatoire of Ballet (originally Christine Walsh Dance Centre) was founded in 1991 by Co-founders Christine Walsh AM and Ricardo Ella. The Australian Conservatoire of Ballet has a renowned reputation for its strong classical ballet training in preparation for a professional career in dance.
The Australian Conservatoire of Ballet is both a classical ballet school and training program. The creation of the ACB teacher Training and Assessment Program (syllabus, Certificate III and IV in Dance and the full-time Diploma of Dance has enabled students to reach exemplary standards. All programs are based on the Vaganova method. Over 200 teachers now teach the ACB Training program in schools across Australia, the Philippines, Japan and Hong Kong.
The training at The Australian Conservatoire of Ballet has enabled many graduates to enter dance companies such as: The Royal Ballet, Houston Ballet, Dutch National Ballet, Australia Ballet and many other European companies.
