Tharwa Valley Forge

The Australian Bladesmithing School at Tharwa Valley Forge teaches a wide range of courses and is the largest school of its type in the world.

We are located in the historic township of Tharwa, nestled on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. Our courses range from one-day to one-week, and are usually capped at four participants.

Our diverse range of full-time and visiting instructors are some of Australia's leading artists. Make your own kitchen knives, learn how to Blacksmith, create an English Longbow, craft a cut throat razor, and so much more.

Our courses are suitable for both Adults and Children over 12.

In addition to delivering unique experiences, we are also Australia's largest full-time production blade workshop. We design and produce custom knives and razors as one-off pieces or as full scale production runs. We create knives for private individuals as well as on contract to business and government.
