The Temora Swimming Club started in 1935 to cater for the growing interest of swimmers in and around Temora after the Olympic pool opened in 1932
The club has had a very successful time over the years and at one point was the South West Premier Club for 10 consecutive seasons
The club currently has a membership of around 220 members comprising 160 swimming members and 60 non-swimming members, around 130 members compete on a weekly basis over the summer season from October to March
The club also run learn to swim classes for around 100 children in December and around 10 adults in January
The club provides training and coaching for members up to 4 times a week during the summer months and now with the new indoor pool we provide training in the winter months as well
Our swimming club still has one of the highest memberships of any club in the Southern Inland Area which from a small country community is exceptional
The club in now in it's 78th season and we have always kept up with technology over the years with the purchase of pool blankets, anti-wave lane ropes, removable starting blocks, removable shade protection and a fully electronic timing system to assist our recorders and parents with the ongoing work of club nights
