Team "Munduggery" Shitbox Rally NZ 2017

“With our furry mate Munduggery by our side, we’ve set off to fundraise and have a bouncing good time doing it!” says Wazza. Warren and Terry live in the Gladstone area and have banded together to send the men rallying with their mate Munduggery. “Warren and Terry are just fair dinkum Aussie blokes who’d give the shirt off their backs to anyone who asked” says Alana, Warren's wife. “They first registered in 2015 for the Shitbox Rally in Australia but were unlucky as the team quota filled quickly, they re-registered for both rallies for 2017 and have been lucky enough to be selected for the Shitbox Rally NZ. I’m so proud of them both for putting their hands up for such a worthy cause, my mum has battled breast cancer on 3 separate occasions and come out strong, and Warren's sister Jean and Nanna Jean has battled or are battling this devil called cancer, so I can really appreciate the efforts Cancer Council (Aus) put into cancer research initiatives I am fully supporting their fundraising efforts.” Both team members have had their lives touched by cancer, Terry has also had his mother-in-law suffer the terrible disease as well as watching his workmate go through losing his wife far too soon. “So we’re doing it for our wives, our family, our mates and anyone else whose lives have been tainted by cancer,” says Wazza.
When asked about how different this experience will be to their day jobs, Warren says, “Not all that different in job description I guess as I’m going to be the one trying to fix our car as we go but I think I will miss having a workshop full of tools while we’re on the road. The scenery will probably be a little nicer too; I haven’t ever been out of Queensland so for me this is a big first!” Terry says, “I appreciate the guys at work, they’ve always been good to me, I’m sure they’d be just as enthusiastic as I am given the chance to take-off on such an adventure, I’m sure they’ll be cheering us on from the shed!”
