Tathra Farmstays

Tathra Farm Stays offers two unique farm stay experiences.

The first is "Tathra Cottage" which is a free standing mud-brick cottage that offers a rustic eco farm stay experience. The cottage sleeps two adults and is set in its own Sam Cox landscaped Australian native garden high on a hill with stunning views all round. It has a queen sized bed, electricity for power and lights, wood fire, out-door shower fitted with wood-fired pressurised hot-water and gravity-fed cold water. The toilet is also outdoors and is based on the solar-powered naturally composting Nature Loo. 3G/4G mobile internet services are accessible from the cottage for those guests wishing to keep in touch with the outside world. Other features include a small but practical kitchenette (with half-draw dishwasher, microwave oven and gas cook-top), Nespresso coffee machine, TV and DVD player, a large leather sofa for lounging about and an outdoor Weber gas BBQ (with rotisserie). All linen (bedding, towels, and robes) is supplied.

Our second offering is "Tathra Studio" and like the name suggests this is a fully self contained modern studio apartment that sleeps two adults. It is under the same roof line but separated from the Robert Marshall architecturally designed homestead with courtyard access to the home's fishpond and fountain. The Studio is also fitted with a queen-sized bed, open fireplace, a full kitchen (with dishwasher, AGA free-standing cooker and SolarDom microwave and Vintec wine storage for those Yarra Valley cellar door purchases), breakfast table, walk-in-robe and full ensuite. Apartment guests also have access to the covered alfresco area fitted with a Smeg gas BBQ. Ethernet internet services are also available in addition to mobile 3G/4G data services depending on your carrier. All linen (bedding, towels, and robes) is supplied.

Both experiences also provide guests with access to a luxurious 103-jet spa bath that is best enjoyed under the stars or just on sunset overlooking the hills and valleys close by.
