Tarumbal Description:
At Tarumbal Kindergarten we recognize all children as competent and capable learners that build their skills through investigation, exploration, problem solving and negotiation. We support play based learning that offers a diverse opportunities to explore, discover and create to encourage children to develop a strong sense of self.
Due to Tarumbal being an Indigenous Centre with the Marjority of children of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent we pride ourselves on focusing this uniqueness to develop how best to present the best possible program to the children.
Tarumbal had an open door policy anyone is welcome in anytime.
Healthy Choices:
Good health and well being is essential for children this enables children to experience well being into their present lives and lay the foundation for a healthy lifestyle in the future. Healthy eating and phyiscal activity are embedded in the program for children.
Bus Services:
Tarumbal offers a pick up and drop service for the children at designated bus stops.
Outdoor Areas:
Tarumbal Centre sits on the grounds of a large green lush environment with lots of trees. We encourage the children to have interactions with the out door environment and the living creatures they may happen upon.
The outdoor environment is maintained on a regular basis.
Groups:
Tarumbal consisits of 2 groups.
Koalas: Monday, Tuesday & every second Wednesday
Wombats: Thursday, Friday & every second Wednesday
Our class sizes are 12-13 students per class.
Opening times are 8:50 am Monday-Friday
Closing times are 3:00 pm Monday-Friday
