My name is Tara, I am a Physical Activity Australia registered Exercise Professional.

I haven't always enjoyed health and fitness so I know first hand the difficulty that can come with starting and continuing a healthy lifestyle. I also know first hand how extremely rewarding making these changes can be; it has changed my life in ways I could have never imagined. These experiences have given me the tools and direct knowledge to coach and motivate my clients, ensuring they achieve the results they are after, as well as continuing to maintain fit and healthy lifestyles for the rest of their lives.

Not too long ago I was working at a desk job, eating fast food every day, sometimes 2-3 times per day, drinking nothing but sugary drinks, doing 0hrs of exercise per day, sleeping badly and just generally feeling pretty "blah" about life. One day, not too long before turning 30, I woke up (as cliche as it sounds, but it's true) and decided that there has to be more to my one shot at life, that I must be able to feel better than this while I'm here. And that's where it began: I decided it was time to kick the poor diet, start doing some physical activity, get myself into a good sleeping/eating/exercise routine and see what this body and mind of mine are truly capable of. I began basic cardio training, things like the 1000 steps, running tracks, the beach, anywhere really. Then I coupled that with basic bodyweight and basic resistance training at home. After a year or so of doing this I felt it was time to take it to the next level. This is when I discovered CrossFit, which challenged and pushed me in ways I never thought possible. After doing CrossFit for 12months I decided that I wanted Fitness to be my career, that I wanted to train and motivate people to help them change their lives the way I changed mine. Fast forward to now and I am a qualified Personal Trainer with Certificate III & IV in Fitness, Certificate IV in Management and Level 2 First Aid + CPR. My own training regime is cardio and resistance training/hypertrophy. I'm not doing CrossFit currently but I do still enjoy it.

My ongoing goal is to promote health and wellbeing to others. I aim to help people understand and experience the benefits of living a fit and healthy lifestyle by incorporating a balanced diet with exercise.

As your Personal Trainer I will not only train and motivate you, but also design you a client-specific program with basic nutritional guidance and regular goal-setting. Together we will closely monitor your progress ensuring your goals are achieved. My sessions are fun but of course challenging, interesting and personalised to ensure my clients do not lose motivation or focus. I provide my clients with the support and information they need to understand what we're doing each session and why we're doing it.
