Spring Music is the name given to events organised by Taradale Music Inc. Taradale Music is a non-profit organisation with deductible gift recipient (DGR) status, enthusiastically committed to promoting excellence in music education and to bringing fine music, from jazz and cabaret to symphony and opera, to the Goldfields region of central Victoria.

Our vision is to celebrate music and performance of the highest standards, showcasing metropolitan and international artists together with outstanding local professionals. We aim to go where others have feared to tread — developing and showcasing the unrecognised musical talents of regional Victoria.

Building on an unprecedented standing ovation at the Castlemaine Town Hall performance in 2012, Spring Music has pioneered a biennial master-class and concert performance program which provides local instrumental and vocal musicians with ongoing opportunities to work with some of Australia’s most highly skilled music educators, and perform alongside some of Australia’s most acclaimed musicians – many of whom now live in the Goldfields region.

It is hard to overestimate the positive influence that an opportunity to work alongside inspirational and highly-qualified music teachers and celebrated concert professionals can have on the development of the musical skills and understanding of local, and particularly young, musicians. Spring Music aims to provide just such an opportunity.
