What Is a Dermal Clinician?
A Dermal Clinician is a professional who has completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Dermal Therapies) as a minimum. This provides them with advanced understanding of the integumentary system. They also have a working knowledge and ability to skillfully utilise technologies for cosmetic improvement as well as treatment for a variety of skin conditions.

The advanced treatment technologies and cosmeceuticals available to Dermal Clinicians means that understanding skin is crucial to knowing how to best use these advanced treatments. Skin analysis allows Dermal Clinicians like myself to create a personalised treatment plan for the conditions found when performing an analysis on a client's skin.

Analysis generally considers:
Anatomy and physiology of the skin covering cells and systems of the epidermis and dermis. Analysis of cell structure
Any malfunctions of the cells and their effects
Function of cell membrane
Function of the acid mantle
Wound Healing
Pigmentation
Ageing skin
Acne
