The Training Attention and Learning Initiative (TALI) consists of a suite of touchscreen training exercises designed to improve attention.
Attention is critical in providing the foundations for learning, shaping behaviour and supporting cognitive development. The management of attention difficulties at home and in the classroom has largely focused on behavioural strategies. TALI instead focuses on strengthening underlying attentional processes.
Evidence indicates that the TALI program is effective in promoting improvements in aspects of attention and learning in children who are 'at risk' of attention difficulties due to an underlying developmental disability, such as Down syndrome or autism spectrum disorder.
