Our aim of TAKE THE LEAD is:
• To provide training and socializing to rescue dogs who are currently waiting on a forever home
• To assess rescue dogs and implement training programs for dogs who are in foster homes with dedicated foster carers
• To have structured training classes ranging from puppy to advanced obedience for members of the general public. This will be formulated by certified trainers with rescue data provided to them which will allow the classes to implement training strategies to overcome the top 3 reasons why dogs are surrendered to shelters
• To hold cost effective one on one behavioral consults to help reduce the number of dogs surrendered to shelters for behavioral issues
• To provide a ‘support network’ to rescue organisations and their foster carers
• To hold education programs in schools targeting children of all ages
• Provide basic training information to the public via handouts and short videos at our information stalls
• To hold foster care training days which will equip foster carers with all the tools they require to foster a dog
