Swim Fit has joined partners with ‘Swim and Survive’ which is a national swimming and water safety initiative of Royal Life Saving. We seek to increase the swimming and water safety skills of all children to ensure that the essential components of personal survival and water safety are provided, in addition to a process of developing strong and effective swimming technique in order to prevent drowning and increase participation in safe aquatic activity.
Children will be safer and more confident in the water by learning water safety, survival and swimming skills.
Lessons will be run in the following 3 stages:
Wonder Award Lessons:
A water familiarization program for parents and their children aged 6 months to 36 months.
Courage Award Lessons:
A program that builds water confidence for preschool aged children between the ages of 3-5 years.
Active Award Lessons:
A swimming and water safety program for school aged children between the ages of 5-14 years.
Adult swimming lessons may also be available pending interest.
