Sadly, the fruitcake has acquired a bit of a bad reputation. Why? Because the store bought varieties are horrible! They're either bland and dry, or sickly sweet. I won't eat them!
This Pineapple fruitcake recipe has consistently been a popular favourite, and in our family, for two generations. Unlike store versions, they are packed full of flavour, moist and sweet enough. The ingredients list contains NO SUGAR!
