Hi All

Following is a little background on me and why I love photography.

I grew up on a property doing all the farm kids things. I particularly remember riding around on our motorbikes either mustering cattle/sheep or racing around the track my dad made. I enjoyed hanging with the boys, maybe it was because I grew up with two brothers and a lot of male cousins or maybe it was because they just seemed to do more fun stuff! I always thought I wanted to be a mechanic and would often tinker away on an old car or motor in my dad’s shed with a lovely little red ratchet set which I thought was the bomb!

Prior to marrying, my father was a speedway racer and spent most weekends travelling with mates to the next meet. They even took a trip to England with their bikes to do the circuits over there. My brothers both raced motocross and we would spend a lot of weekends travelling for race meets. I was a proud sister and loved been there for them and watching on.

I have three children of my own, Charlie and Sami (16yrs twins) and Macaylee (12yrs). Charlie started racing at age 4 which is when I took up photographing motocross. It was a way for me to become involved in the sport and get a little bit of that racing adrenaline walking around close to the track. My family and friends would say I’m a bit of a rev head, must be the racing in my blood!

I worked at The Condobolin Argus, for five years in advertising/graphic design. Predominately my time was spent sourcing and designing ads but my photography skills came in handy as well with having opportunities to take photos at a lot of various sporting events around our district.

At the moment photography is a side line for me, it brings me a lot of pleasure seeing the joy it brings to people. If I can capture a photo that shows the passion, commitment and dedication of an athlete in any field, I have done my job. Those moments are treasured for a life time.
