Swan Harmony Choir

Welcome to Swan Harmony Singers. Our choir was established in 1997, and currently has around 35 members.

We meet every Wednesday evening from 7pm to 9pm, at the Salvation Army Hall, 371-373 Morrison Rd, Swan View. We recommend that potential members be prepared to commit to regular attendance at rehearsals in order to obtain the full benefit of our wonderful director, Richard Braham, so that we can provide our best performances at our concerts.

We sing mostly four-part harmony for soprano, alto, tenor and bass. We are always looking for new members and, like so many other choirs, we are particularly short of male singers. The ability to read music is not essential, but it can be an advantage - especially for those tricky bits! The choir sings a wide variety of pieces, including jazz, pop, swing and some sacred pieces. And of course, at Christmas time, we break out the Christmas carols, ho ho ho!

New members are always welcome. If you’re interested, drop in on a Wednesday evening to see how we operate – you may do this for a further two rehearsals, free of charge, before deciding whether you would like to join us.
