Mission

Welcome to the official page for Surfers Paradise, Australia. This page was established by Surfers Paradise Alliance and is now administered by this organisation, and also contributed to by you! We are a local government organisation, and the official management and marketing authority for Surfers Paradise.

Our goal is to offer our Facebook users a platform for sharing their experiences, ideas and questions about their travels to Surfers Paradise. We endeavour to answer your questions as soon as possible, and offer information regarding accommodation, attractions and events in this beautiful beach city. These include special offers and promotions, as well as event invites to the yearly calendar of events in Surfers Paradise.

Comment Policy

In order to promote a safe and pleasant environment for sharing your thoughts and photos on our page, we may sometimes need to intervene at our discretion if posts contain:
• Violent, adult, obscene, profane, divisive, hateful, or racist content, links or images
• Comments that threaten or defame any person or organisation
• Solicitations or advertisements for commercial gain
• Multiple, repetitive posts
• Multiple successive off-topic posts by a single user (remember, this page is about Surfers Paradise people!)

Posting photos to our wall

Surfers Paradise Alliance does NOT claim ANY ownership rights in photos that you post on our ‘wall’. However, by posting a photo on our wall you hereby grant to Surfers Paradise Alliance a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, revocable, non-transferable, perpetual licence to use, modify, delete from, add to, publicly display and/or reproduce, publish, communicate to the public your photo, including without limitation in any online media formats and through any social media channels, pages or accounts and to authorise other persons to do any of those things.

You consent to any act or omission which would otherwise infringe your moral rights in the photo. You warrant that you have authority to post the photo to our wall and to grant the licence above and that the photo and the exercise of the licence will not infringe the rights of any other person, including copyright, moral rights, rights relating to privacy and personal information.

You can revoke this licence at any time by contacting us in writing spa@surfersparadise.com and informing us that you no longer want us to use your photo.
