Summers

Summers is a DJ/Producer from Gold Coast, Australia, whose sonic ambition is to reach listeners in a way that promotes melancholic release, yet inspires emotionally uplifting sensations. Summers has flirted with music for several years, but a more recent and intense love affliction for house & techno brought with it inspiration that ultimately evolved to form the foundations of Summers’ musical journey as a budding artist.

Primarily focusing on emotive, ambient house & techno, but also dabbling in underground sounds from low-key lounge right through to stripped-back minimal-tech; Summers’ repertoire takes listeners on a journey through a progression of infectious hooks coupled with rolling bass-lines, an interplay of percussive grooves, and rare industrial stabs and hits to unify the melodic motifs that encompass each of his musical showcases.

Summers’ organic vibrations produce an eclectic mix of emotions that have been heard internationally in South-East Asia and can be caught regularly at globally recognised and renowned Elsewhere social club, where he has attained residency. When away from Elsewhere, Summers plays guest slots for house and techno events organisations such as Brisbane’s Soiree, SolarPop and Secret Garden. His resume includes supports for interstate legend Sam Arellano and Doppel, as well as Norway’s Djuma Soundsystem.

Sound production has always been on the horizon for Summers, and now, having just completed his Diploma of Electronic Music Production, this sunny dream is closer to realisation than ever! His short career has seen him catapulted into the house & techno industry, Summers is definitely an artist to keep your eyes on!
