I can make most cakes for you as long as you are able to give me a theme or a photo of the cake you desire, you may even like to choose one from the ones I have already made for other people over the years! I love to create for others and see the joy on their faces when they first see their cake/cakes. My cakes are all 4 layer high with fillings of choice, unless asked to be made smaller, they can be filled with a variety of flavoured ganache/buttercream, buttercream or ganache, plus cooli or curd added as well. The ultimate choice is yours to make! As I am a ceoliac and my daughter is lactose intollerant I know how hard it is to find nice things for us to eat, thus I love to make for these special people. Please give me a try for your next cake needs!
I do require a 50% non-refundable deposit on all orders prior to me starting, this will allow me to keep your date and start on any decorations required in the design. The order needs to be paid for in full 7 days prior to delivery, unless other arrangements are made. This is common practice among cake decorators as we have to outlay quite a deal before we start on an order. Please be aware that in some cases a cancellation of a cake order and deposit paid does not necessarily mean a refund in full of the deposit, if a refund is asked for then please be aware that expenses will be taken out of this deposit prior to any money being refunded. Often another person has been turned away due to a date being booked, thus paying the deposit secures you the date for your celebration cake!
If you are unhappy with my creation you do need to get in touch with me within 24 hours and return the cake in good order to be able to discus or obtain any sort of refund as I will not be held responsible if your colour ideas and mine vary if a colour swatch was not supplied, I will also not be held responsible if you change your mind on design with out informing me. The only refund will be given or a discussion entered into is when a cake id deemed inedible, and in that circumstance the cake needs to be returned in full within 24 hours.
I do offer a tasting platter, the cost of this session is paid for at the time and will be credited to you if you place an order for your cake. When you come out to see me for a consultation session, the design I draw up for your cake remains mine as copywrite, and I will ask for it not to be used to gain other quotes.
I pride myself on my work and If I am not happy with a cake and how it looks it WILL NOT GO OUT, I will remake it for you. If you are not happy with your cake when I send through a Photo the night before, please inform me at that time as I may be able to rectify the points you are unhappy with, do not wait until after the event to tell me!
If you are collecting the cake/s yourself then I will take no responsibility for any damage which occurs in transit or in setup.
I will deliver and set up the cake, cupcakes cookies etc. for your special occasion but this does incur a delivery charge as it can often take hours out of my day in both travel time and setting up. ( Usually $40 outside the Cairns CBD but this is discussed prior to the event)
If a third party is organising the cake/s for you and they do not specify for me to deliver and have the charge included in the quote, then I will charge a delivery fee to complete this set up. If I deliver to the venue, I am able to repair any damage if any occurs. Thus far I have not had to repair any celebration cakes!
