Adult Ballet Classes for all!! It's never too late to start.
Classes cater for absolute beginners, through to beginners, intermediate and advanced (ex-dancers/dancers welcome).
Classes operate out of Tasmanian Academy of Dance studios at 1 Mann Street, Invermay. (Tasmanian Academy of Dance offers ballet tuition for children in the RAD syllabus, for more information visit: http://www.tad1.com.au/)
Studio of Adult Ballet classes are taught by Jacquelyne France-Marsden, who is also a teacher at Tasmanian Academy of Dance.
About Ms Jacqui:
* Started ballet age 3 at a local ballet school in Hong Kong;
* Trained in the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus—completed Pre-Primary—Grade 8 RAD examinations and all Vocational Syllabus Intermediate Foundation—Advanced II RAD;
* Is an Associate of the Royal Academy of Dance;
* Trained at Tasmanian Academy of Dance (since 1995) and has been teaching at TAD since 2004;
* Guest appeared in Hiroshima, Japan with the Satomi Morikawa Ballet Academy at age 14 as part of their annual ballet concert;
* Intermediate and Open Classical Championship winner with Launceston Competitions and Launceston Festival of Dance from 2000-2002, 2006 and 2008;
* Studied with Queensland Dance School of Excellence in 2003;
* Undertook an Artist’s Residency at Townsville-based contemporary dance company Dance North in 2010 and taught weekly Adult Ballet classes as part of their Sweatshops Program (2012);
* Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences (University of Tasmania);
* Co-Choreographer, “The Phantom of the Opera” (Encore Theatre Company—2014)
* Choreographer, “Evita” (Encore Theatre Company—2015)
* Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (Royal Academy of Dance) - 2015
* Registered Teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance - 2016
