More about Stringosaurus

Music workshops for schools and daycare providers: The Stringosaurus leader is a professional musician. They lead the session on their Stringosaurus violin and enrapture the children with their playing. The interactive, fun and educational workshop covers any chosen theme and is crafted to develop the children's musicianship and life skills. Singing, props and dancing are integral to the workshops.

Violin Lessons: The concept behind Stringosaurus is that your child is Stringosaurus's trainer. When your child first starts learning, their Stringosaurus character can only make a ping or a squeak. It is up to your child to train their Stringosaurus, to sing and make a beautiful sound.

Each lesson is specially written to develop a sound beginner's violin technique and excellent general musicianship skills. This ensures that when your child leaves Stringosaurus they will already have gained many of the skills needed to learn another instrument if they should so choose. They will also be ready mentally and physically for more formal violin lessons.

Every lesson is a Mighty Musical Adventure, planned to make learning the violin a fun and rewarding experience. Storytelling, singing and games are essential to make learning music, positive, inspirational and exciting.

We pride ourselves in having small groups, (up to 6 children in a group). This number is great for learning from one another, and gives a strong team building experience. It is also small enough for the teacher to focus on each pupil individually and to give encouragement and clear guidance.

Parents are asked to stay and support their child on their musical adventures each week.
