'Strong Local Community'
Streaky Bay has a strong local community offering a new Community Complex with conference, event and catering facilities and over ten well patronised local sports. The town has a 9 hole eco-friendly golf course. Haven’t got any clubs? Come and see us at the Visitor Information Centre where you can hire a set.

Families can relax and unwind at one of our many parks and gardens with playgrounds, shelters, BBQs and ample parking. For the young at heart, the Streaky SK8 Park is conveniently located near the CBD.

'Shopping and Essential Services'

Streaky Bay is the business hub and service centre of the district, with excellent facilities for shopping and essential services, such as a well-equipped modern hospital with resident doctors, aged care facility, accommodation to suit all budgets, an airport, a community library and school and jetty pool.

Streaky Bay has a foreshore tourist park on the town beach and a soon to be opened Islands caravan park situated on the coastline of the bay. Both parks have extensive facilities for holidaymakers from campers and caravans to motorhomes and RV’s.

'Great Places to Sample Local Flavours'

The seaside town has a growing reputation as a seafood and aquaculture centre. Anglers come to Streaky Bay to catch the ‘big one’ and experience fishing at stunning locations around the coastline. The waters are abundant with King George Whiting, Blue Swimmer Crab, Snapper, Salmon, Flounder, Squid and other species caught from over 18 different locations in the region.

Can’t catch a fish? Cook yourself up the freshest of fish from the local fresh fish shop. Savour fresh daily-baked pies and pastries or fish ‘n’ chips while relaxing in the local bakery and roadhouses

Sample the flavours of the land and sea and tantalise your taste buds at our waterfront restaurant, funky cafés and hotel with succulent King George whiting, Streaky Bay oysters, or perhaps abalone accompanied by a sumptuous Eyre Peninsula wine.
