Stockman Services - Horse breaker and farrier

Station-born and bred Rowand Hannigan is an experienced stockman, horseman; horse-breaker and trainer; farrier - both shod and bare-foot trimming, now living in the South Australian Riverland at Loveday.
Through his business Station Services, clients can hire Rowand to break-in their horses - either to the halter, lead and tie stage; or full breaking-in to saddle.
He is also a farrier, who will either shoe or bare-trim horses hooves.
Rowand is also prepared to train horses for gymkhana events, such as bending races and barrel races if required.
Born in Woomera, Rowand grew up on Andamooka Station then Lambina Station, which was owned by his family.
After attending high school at Urrbrae Agricultural College, Rowand began full-time work as a stockman at the age of 16. As well as working on the family station, Rowand spent another 20 years working as a station hand for S Kidman & Co in both SA and WA.
He works in the Riverland, SA, and will either travel to your property to conduct farrier work - by appointment.
Horse-breaking is done at Rowand's Loveday home, with one or two week's adjustment included in breaking-in charges.
It may be done at your property, subject to negotiation re location and a suitable round yard.
Rowand also offers young, fully broken-in horses for sale, from time to time, when he has stock available.
