Steve Thake - A Lazy S Training Stables

Steve started riding when he was 8 years old in New Guinea, when the family returned home to Australia he continued with pony club events such as novelty, ODE, dressage & jumping. At 16 he obtained his pony club instructors certificate.

Next for Steve came rodeos and Bull Riding. Then came a side step to the Western arena when he was contacted to show an Imported Palouse Stallion in Western & English and to assist in the breeding & handling of the young progeny.

After this Steve continued showing more in the Western arena on his own and clients horses. Then along came Campdraft competitions.

Steve has moved on to obtain his AQHA judges ticket in 2009. Since then he has travelled throughout Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia judging some very well credentialed horses and riders.

Steve is also an Approved Western Dressage judge with the AQHA & Western Dressage Association.

For Steve's own enjoyment he loves competing in Western Dressage, Ranch Riding and western performance on our Deliberate Chip progeny.

Steve loves to share the knowledge that he's acquired from the varied disciplines with his students and be a support to them both at home and at the shows so that they can enjoy their horse experiences.
