Stella Stud - Hanoverian Sport Horses

Welcome to Stella Stud, a specialised boutique horse stud that is home to internationally-bred Hanoverian sport horses.

Located in South East Queensland, Stella Stud is located on Millbrook Farm in Ellangowan. Our farm is surrounded by 3,000 acres of prime black soil country, including designated grazing for breeding a small number of top class Hanoverian foals each year.

We are 15 minutes from the rural town of Clifton and 45 minutes from the Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport (Toowoomba).

Founded in 2010, we are proud members of the Hanoverian Horse Society of Australia and are fortunate to own a number of the best quality Hanoverian studbook mares in the country.

Our key focus is utilising imported frozen semen from internationally renowned stallions approved for breeding by the largest and most successful Warmblood breeding association in the world, the Hanoverian Verband in Germany.

The foundation mares of Stella Stud are Premium and Elite Hanoverian studbook mares with the proven genetics of trademark sires Woermann, Absatz, Wendekreis, Pik Koenig, Domspatz, and Gotthard to name just a few. Our elite-quality thoroughbred mares have also been chosen for their outstanding type and performance pedigrees.

Our horses are raised in a natural herd environment and are fed high quality supplements by Hi-Form Australia and the Johnson's Natural Formula range of alfalfa-based feeds.

Correctly handled from birth, our young horses are introduced to working in-hand before being started under saddle at a minimum of 4 years of age.

Our preferred clients are students of classical horsemanship, committed to following an academic pathway to achieve a balanced, harmonious and lifelong relationship with their horse. A force free partnership brings fulfilment and pleasure and helps you to achieve your ultimate goals.

We offer a few young horses for sale each year. It’s important these youngsters are well matched with their new owner.
