BUSINESS HISTORY

Ron Sumskis founded Steel City Motorcycles in 1974 as a Wollongong motorcycle repair shop. In 2002 the business moved to 38 Princes Highway Fairy Meadow and became a dealership for Hyosung motorbikes, Kymco scooters, Royal Enfield classic motorcycles and MV Agusta motorbikes.

Steel City Motorcycles continues to be one of the most trusted motorcycle dealerships and repair shops in the Wollongong region. It is one of the few businesses where you can find both a fully qualified mechanic and someone behind the shop counter who has nearly 50 years of experience in motorcycles.

Steel City Motorcycles strong reputation has been forged over the last 40 years by owner and Dealer Principal Ron Sumskis. Ron is one of the Illawarra's most respected motorcycle mechanics and people travel far and wide for such expertise.

Ron's passion for motorcycles started in 1965, when as a 10 year old he started riding British 500cc motorcycles.
