Starr Light Yoga

Heather Starr, founder and creator of Starr Light Yoga, was first introduced to Yoga in 2007 in Montreal, Canada, her home and native land. After achieving a diverse educational background with degrees in Social Science, Political Science and Public Relations Management, Heather broke away from the 9-5 office job life, and moved to the breathtaking islands of the Bahamas. She began to practice yoga regularly under Elaine Kerry, and studied the Foundations of Yoga and decided to venture off and complete her 200 hour yoga teacher training in Costa Rica with the Marianne Wells Yoga School in 2009.

After completing her training in Costa Rica, Heather headed for a new life in Australia. Following some extensive travelling, with her Aussie husband, and bringing two beautiful little daughters into the world, Heather finally submitted her Yoga Teacher Training Test and received her certification in 2013.

As a result of practicing under Katie Coryell at the Zen Den Collective in Dunsborough, and combining the traditional Hatha Asanas (physical postures), Meditation and Pranayama (breath work), Heather aims to bring peace, light and energy into all students practice, no matter what their age, and a sense of gratitude to their lives, as well as provide a complete balance for the mind, body and soul for yogis of all ages. Heather is also a Doterra Essential Oil Wellness Advocate and hosts a monthly Essential Oil Yoga workshop.

Currently Heather is teaching private lessons at Yallingup Lodge, group classes at Perfect Balance Gym, Pregnancy yoga and Mums & Bubs Yoga at Zen Den Studio in Dunsborough, as well as her monthly workshops.

Heather also runs Doterra Workshops for her students who are keen to learn more about taking a more natural path towards protecting their health.
