Stamford Park Mens Shed

Stamford Park Men's Shed commenced in 2011 and operates from the historic 1860s guest quarters of Stamford Park homestead in Rowville.
We have an annex to our shed located at the Orana Neighbourhood House in Wantirna which meet on Thursdays 10am till 3pm. The activities here are associated with wood work projects .

At Rowville, activities include the grounds maintenance of the homestead and some of the adjoining parkland. We also tend to a productive vegetable garden on the site. On Tuesdays and Saturdays we provide cooked lunch for members and visitors.

Our member also help out in the wider community assisting other local groups and individuals with varying projects, recently these include constructing a chicken coop, an outdoor pre-school play kitchen, rats maze, vertical garden, and many small projects for the local children's hospital. We employ safe working methods and practices and, the care and maintenance of our machinery and equipment is a part of our routine.

Like most sheds we are focused on men’s activities which we hope will lead towards an individuals well-being. We are open to all members of the community from all backgrounds and walks of life. Young, old, skilled, unskilled, retired, working and with our various abilities all have something to teach, learn and share.

Stamford Park Men’s Shed Inc. is an independent corporate body and not part of a religious or community health facility.

We endeavour to get everyone involved in our varying activities on an equal level, developing safe working practices while giving a sense of achievement, pride and mate-ship.

The Shed is Open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays from 10.00am to 3.00pm, so call in for a cuppa and a chat, and see what we do.
