St.Andrews is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria which is a constituent part of the Presbyterian Church of Australia, and is in historical continuity with the Church of Scotland reformed in 1560. Our congregation was first formed in 1854 and has continued divine worship on the same site to this day.

We see ourselves as part of the one universal Christian Church confessed in the Niacene Creed as the "One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church"

We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God written and therefore our supreme authority for faith and life. We believe that the Bible alone contains the Holy Spirit inspired witness and Testimony of Prophets and Apostles to the Living Word of God who is our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We therefore we believe that the Bible' supreme purpose is to bear witness to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and to lead us to personal faith and repentance in Him for the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life.

Our core beliefs are summarised in the Westminster Confession of Faith, first published in 1646, and as amended from time to time by the General Assembly of Australia, and as read in the light of the Declaratory Statement contained in the Basis of Union (1901).

At St. Andrew's we seek to be a gospel centered church that is biblical, reformed in theology and committed in the power of the Holy Spirit to knowing Christ and making Him known to a lost world.

Our main service is held on Sunday's at 10:00 am at the Church which is located at the corner of McIntyre and Gray Streets, Hamilton. Morning tea is served after the service in the hall and it is a good time to catch up.

We also meet on Sunday evenings at 5:30 pm in the Peace Memorial hall which is adjacent to the church. This service is less formal and is generally followed by a bring and share tea. The evening service goes into recess during the summer school holidays.
