More about Springfield Anglican College

The Springfield Anglican College is an independent, co-educational day school, located at Springfield, a suburb in South East Queensland, Australia. It is not to be confused with Springfield College, the institution in Springfield, Massachusetts, United States, where the sport of basketball was invented. The campus on Springfield College Drive, Springfield now houses the Junior School .A separate campus for the Middle School and for the Senior School on the Springfield - Greenbank Arterial opened in Term 2, 2008. Completion is expected by 2019 and the campus will have an ultimate capacity of 1000 students.HistoryThe Springfield Anglican College was established in 1998 as The Springfield College, with an enrolment of eleven students. Student numbers have grown quickly and it now has an enrolment of 480 students, from Prep to Year Nine.In 2007, enrolments outgrew facilities - a result of the delayed start of the new Middle/Senior School campus - and Senior School students were transferred to sister school Forest Lake College. The college was originally a joint initiative of the Anglican Church of Australia and the Uniting Church in Australia and until 2009 was operated by EDUCANG along with Mary McConnel School, Forest Lake, The FLC International Centre and The Lakes College.
