Southern Seas Marine was first established in 2002 by Michael Date, who has been a keen sailor all his life, has owned various sailing boats and competes in sailing races.

He has competed in two Sydney to Hobart yacht races and is keen to do more.

Michael saw a need in the marine sailing market for quality products that have been proven to last the test of time. By focusing and sourcing well known products he was able to build his business to the success today. With our source after products we were able to stay afloat during the GFC.
