Why Do We Use Hemp
Our unique range of didgeridoos and other breath instruments are designed and crafted from organic hemp fibres and hemp charcoal ( as used by the Japanese Royal Family). Hemp Charcoal emanates negative ions that are beneficial for both player and receiver in today's heavily loaded positive ion environment. These instruments have been designed to induce both the subtle frequencies and deep resonance of sound...

Hemp -

one of the oldest known cultivated crops to man has become one of the most sought after products for its unique properties in the manufacture of many goods, including the production of our Sound of Hemp didgeridoos.

So what exactly are the properties that make our hemp didgeridoo stand far apart from its wooden cousin?

Cultivated since ancient times, Hemp has served mankind for thousands of years. Valued for its strength and durability, products made from hemp outlast their competition by many years.

One of the most valuable parts of the hemp plant is the fiber; characteristics of which is its pliability to be moulded and hardened (through a process of ‘ wet milling') into any shape giving it a superior resonance, incredible tonal and amazing acoustic qualities.

Due to the way in which the hemp fibre is processed - allowing absolutely no use of glues or resins - adds to its environmentally friendliness. Couple this with its lightweight material, it's no wonder that the best didge players out there are scrambling to get their hands on one of these beautifully and 100% organically crafted instruments.

Asked what sets a hemp didge apart from the traditional wooden didge the answer lies with the inventor and creator,

Jon Worsley. Using a unique process of infusing black hemp charcoal with hemp fibres to create Black Hemp C+6, the alchemy of the two produces a material with properties that add to the powerful attributes of the internal design, taking didgeridoo playing to a whole new level.

Having spent so many years perfecting his craft, Jon has developed a worldwide reputation for the design and sound of these masterpieces, and for the subtle effects they have on those who listen and play.
