Songkran Thai Restaurant Cairns

Under the previous owners, Steve & Aordet, Songkran opened its doors in 2008 and quickly gained a reputation in the area for fantastic authentic Thai cuisine and very reasonable prices. In following that reputation, the new owners, Peter & Suree, have been operating the business since July, 2014 with their family and staff and have been striving to continue to provide both new and old customers with everything they have come to expect and more.
With the Take-Away menu being the most popular choice by customers, the shop is also set up to provide a cosy, intimate dining experience and has a licence for BYO facilities. There is also a range of soft drinks and other beverages available on the premises. Looking forward we would like to look at home delivery, catering for small groups off premises (enquiries are welcomed) and increasing the seating capacity for dine in customers.
However for now, Suree, being the master of her Domain, the kitchen, having a passion for excellence and pride in her work, is personally concentrating on ensuring the freshness, authenticity & quality of each and every dish served, so much so she attends and hand picks all of her ingredients from her suppliers on a daily basis. Being locals ourselves we support local business by buying locally and Australian made produce and supplies in every case possible.
