Contemporary Recovery Oriented Practice
In order to realise our values, vision, purpose and guiding principles, the key elements of the contemporary frameworks listed below are embedded in all services delivered by SOLAS and our partners.
Community Mental Health Practice Framework (Health and Community Services Workforce Council - 2012)
A national framework for recovery oriented mental health services (Australian Health Ministers Advisory Council - 2013)
National Standards for Mental Health Services (Department of Health - 2010)
Quality Assurance
SOLAS is accredited against The Human Services Quality Framework (Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services - 2012). The organisation participates in a quality assurance process annually to maintain accreditation.
At the heart of these standards and frameworks is a deep respect for human rights that acknowledges and recognises that the person is best placed to know what he/she needs to live a life of choice, purpose, meaning and citizenship.
