Smart Fabrication (Smart Fab) undertakes the planning, design, construction and installation of a wide range of steel fabrication & projects for the Defence, Civil, Mining, Marine, Automotive & Water industries. Our fabrication capabilities include tank fabrication & pipe work, heavy or light engineering, structural steelwork, stainless steel and aluminum work. We also have a fleet of mobile service vehicles fully equipped with dual welders and breathable air.

2011 saw Smart Fabrication grow its workforce by around 300% to peak at around 70 employees including; boilermakers, welders, pipe fitters, machinists, welding supervisors & inspectors, project managers, mechanical engineer, quality, accounting & administration teams. This same year Smart Fab also moved to a much larger location (approx 30,000m2) with approximately 150m of water frontage including 5 large slips capable of slipping vessels up to 1,500TN. A large propeller platform has already been sent by barge from Smart Fab's workshop directly to the Australian Submarine Corporation, the first of hopefully many items to be sent across the river.
