A Bit About Suzi:

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, I now live in the beautiful Whitsundays, Queensland, and am fortunate to work with my passion, art. I sold my first oil painting at age 13, and have matured through many phases of mediums and creations over the last 25 years.

Living and working in Thailand in 1998 I discovered this fabulous technique using carbon powder and dry brushes that I now specialize in. Although I'd had experience using oils, air-brushing, graphite and coloured pencil, pastel and charcoal, being exposed to this local Thai method was a huge turning point for me as a portrait artist. Though I continued to favour pencils, the demand for my carbon powder portraits became dominant.

I am a multi-award winning professional artist. I work in many media but have specialised in detailed carbon powder (similar to charcoal and graphite pencil) for many years. My portrait re-creation of loved ones has been my business for over 15 years. My people and pet portraits are commissioned internationally, please look around and you will see why.

In recent years I have been getting recognition for my photographic-like coloured work in coloured pencil and pastels, being fortunate enough to win numerous awards.
