Located in two locations in Sydney Australia; 121 Crown Street, Darlinghurst and 7 Ashley Lane, Westmead.

Since 1978 the Foundation has been a not-for-profit centre of excellence in the diagnosis, clinical management, research and education of skin disease including skin cancers as well as providing an extensive range of sub speciality skin clinics along with cosmetic procedures and services provided by their experienced team of dermatologists.

The Foundation has dermatology clinics and licensed and accredited day surgeries situated in two Sydney locations at Darlinghurst and Westmead. The majority of 168 dermatologists in NSW have undertaken some form of training at the Foundation as the Foundation is an accredited training institute of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.

In addition, the Foundation has a world class laboratory based at Darlinghurst. The laboratory is a specialised dermatology pathology service and provides an exceptional standard of diagnostic service for all types of skin disease and skin cancers.


The Foundation’s key areas includes:

Clinical Services
• 10 licensed and accredited day surgery theatres including the largest Mohs facility in the Southern hemisphere.
• Our Laboratory processes over 240,000 slides and provides over 44,500 reports each year.
• Over 35,500 patient visits in the clinic and day surgery each year.
• Over 80,000 patient treatments each year.

Research and Clinical Trials
• The Foundation employs an Academic Head of Research, a Research Officer, a Clinical Trials Coordinator, and an unaccredited dermatology trainee.
• Currently three clinical trials run concurrently. Some are short term, others span 5 years or more.
• Over 600 research papers have been published by doctors and staff of the Foundation and we have substantial scientific data, including pathology specimens going back 30 years.
• Our Research department reviews and partners with ethical products that are leaders in their field and help fund research and Education activities.

Education and Training
• Over 50% of all dermatologists in NSW have undertaken training at the Foundation.
• The Foundation contributes over $400,000 annually to registrar training, plus substantial additional training of Dermatologists, GP’s, Dermatology nurses and staff estimated cost of more than $100,000 per year.
• The Foundation funds a Mohs surgeon Fellowship each year.
